The Junior reining saw 16 entries and caught the public's attention
with lot of good horses and thrilling runs. Klara Salkova riding
Brooks Legacy (owner: K. Strakosova) took the lead in the first
go by scoring 140,5. Lukas Brucek with Pedro was two points behind
them and Hynek Fister riding Mitos Monitor and Klara Salkova aboard
Diamonds N Gin Pleez came third. On Sunday morning Karel Barotek
riding Smart Maky Lena set the pace with a very dynamic run, which
earned him a score of 141,5. Hynek Fister followed in his steps
and guided the 5-year-old mare San Della Lena (owner: Martina
Smirova) through an excellent pattern 6. They showed very fast
spins then risky and dynamic circles with precise speed control
and finished with good sliding stops. This thrilling performace
earned them the top score in Junior reining - 144,5. It could
have been the winning run, but Klara Salkova risked everything.
With Brooks Legacy she did an excellent job, plussing the spins
and sliding stops and showing dynamic and precise circles. The
score of 142 earned her the Champion title (composite score of
282,5). Brooks Legacy is 5-year-old sorrel mare by You Look Surprised
and her grandfather is Surprise Enterprise - Senior Reining World
Champion. Klara's assistant trainers took home silver and bronze
medals. Hynek Fister on San Della Lena (Lenas Sugarman x Dellas
Diamond) won the Reserve Champion title with a composite score
of 281 and Karel Barotek aboard Hollywood Spinstep (Hollywood
Dun It x Ima Dancin Badger) was third with 276,5. In all, there
was 6 horses from Celadna on first seven places.
The Senior
reining had a dramatic final. Lukas Jirak was the best competitor
in the first go. With SR Sweet N Low (owner: Jirak QH), he earned
an excellent score of 144. Klara Salkova aboard her own Smart
Chiconita came second with 142 and Monika Julinova riding Miss
Bobby Jac Scoot was third with 137. In the second go Jirak was
the last rider to enter the show pen. And until the last run-around
it seemed that he will win his first Senior reining title. He
started his run with nice and rapid spins, his circles were very
prices with good transitions. But after his second roll-back he
lost 3 points with a break of gait and a wrong lead. Lukas' final
score was 138,5 (composite score of 282,5) and it wasn't enough
for the first place. Klara Salkova made her winning run by scoring
a very good 143,5 (composite score of 285,5). As always Smart
Chiconita showed rapid spins followed by very fast cirlces and
excellent speed control. Klara and Smart finished with deep stops,
just as they always do. It was her second Champion title of the
day and already her third title of the season! Smart Chiconita,
an 8-year-old stallion by Smart Chic Olena, is by far the best
Czech reining horse ever, having on his account multiple titles
won with Klara Salkova. The third place, with a composite score
of 273, went to Monika Julinova and her own Miss Bobby Jac Scoot.
There was
a very close competition in Amateur reining. Two medals went once
again to horses trained by Klara Salkova. Petr Julina guided his
4-year-old mare Bueno Chex Lady to the first place, scoring 138
in the first go and 135 in the second go (total score of 273).
